Post 16 Provision 

The Equine and Farm Post 16 Experience is available for 1:1 or small group use focussing a variety of life skills, bespoke education and employment knowledge as well as animal care. This provision is aimed at young adults aged 16 onwards and is used to offer sessions to help increase education and offers both ASDAN accreditation and inhouse courses .


Liberty Learning is an Asdan registered centre and can offer a selection of ASDAN short courses which focus on the individual’s ability rather than attainment at a specific level.  We can offer a variety of courses including animal care, citizenship, environmental and gardening courses alongside PSHE, living independently and employability skills development.


We are based in Denford, Northamptonshire and are open term times 9.00am –4.00pm. We can offer a choice of bookings to meet the individuals needs and can offer six, nine, twelve, fifteen or eighteen hours per week and can be tailored to half or full days. Our Post 16 provision follows term dates and is offered per academic year and we can accept bookings on a one or two year package.


The holistic approach we follow will engulf learning opportunities and provide therapeutic experiences whilst delivering a hands-on educational and tactile experiences which can include equine therapy, woodland and countryside management, stable care and the Liberty Learning canine award.


The post 16 facilities at the Equine and Farm Experience promotes designated areas which have been specifically aimed at the students and the variety of courses and learning areas. It promotes a secure outdoor area encompassing fields, woodlands and stable yard, large indoor barn which contains a library, ICT area, indoor learning room and a quiet area that can be used for therapy and relaxation. By using these facilities alongside the tailored developmental programmes and accredited courses we open up educational pathways and promote life skills.


All the packages include a bespoke curriculum and accredited course, a record of achievement, use of developmental resources, use of animals and facilities at Ford Farm and Brick Kiln Meadows alongside 1:1 teaching session.
