Summer 2026
☀️ A Summer of Fun, Learning and Adventure!
We’ve had a fantastic summer filled with exciting activities, new experiences and plenty of opportunities to learn and have fun!
🐾 Keeping Our Animals Cool
One of the highlights of the summer was learning more about summer animal care. We discovered how hot weather can affect our animals and the extra care they need to stay comfortable, happy and healthy during warmer days.
We got creative by making ice snacks for the animals, giving them a fun and refreshing way to cool down. We also helped our reptiles beat the heat by preparing cold vegetable treats for them to enjoy. It was a great way to learn about how different animals cope with warmer temperatures and how we can help them.
🧭 Community Outreach and Outdoor Adventures
We also enjoyed getting out and about with some fantastic community outreach activities. There was plenty of adventure and discovery as we tried our hands at magnet fishing and metal detecting, seeing what interesting things we could find!
Our orienteering activities gave us the chance to practise navigation, teamwork and problem-solving while enjoying the outdoors. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved, working together and having fun.
🎨 Summer Arts and Crafts
Of course, no summer would be complete without getting creative! We took part in a range of summer-themed arts and crafts, creating colourful and imaginative pieces inspired by the season.
From learning about animal care to exploring the outdoors and getting creative, it has been a busy and enjoyable summer. We’ve had lots of opportunities to learn new skills, try new things and make some great memories along the way.
