Winter part 2

We welcomed back students after Christmas and hope you all enjoyed your time off.

This term has brought us lots of fun, enjoyment and laughter.


Forestry sessions -

  • Fire making sessions and keeping warm around a fire in winter.

  • Students have enjoyed making smores, hot chocolate, popcorn and halloumi fries.

  • Students have worked on their food preparation skills and enjoyed chopping a variety of different vegetables for the animals.


Its the season for Movies -

  • Students have made use of the DVD player while its been cold, and enjoyed watching a variety of animated movies.


Music week -

  • Students enjoyed the music room and playing with a variety of different instruments while dancing around the room.

  • We also enjoyed crafting our own musical instruments out of everyday items.


Animals -

  • We have welcomed new guinea pigs and they have settled in well.

  • Floss enjoyed taking part in different obstacle courses.

  • Guy the rabbit got involved in agility and managed to go through a tunnel.

  • Our goats have moved down the farm site and started to give birth.


Learning -

  • Different students have worked on their phonics, number skills.

  • Our post 16 students have continued working towards their ASDAN credited course.

  • Lots of new worksheets have been designed from number skills, cutting skills and a variety of velcro tasks.


Arts and crafts -

  • Chalk drawing.

  • One student has designed their own comic strip and it was amazing.

  • We created our own homemade bird feeders.


Other activities -

  • Students joined together and enjoyed different activities using the parachute.

  • Different sports including - Basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, bowling, pool, archery.

  • Different games included - Monopoly, chess, pinball, Lego, puzzles, trains, game of life, uno and more.

  • Students have really enjoyed playing in the playhouse and turning it into different shops, using fake money to incorporate some maths and everyday skills.


We have said our goodbyes to our staff members Lee and Toby. We wish you all the best.


We hope you all have a lovely half term and we look forward to welcoming students back on Monday 23rd February.
